Forword:
I have always been one to shy away from the subject of angels – probably because there are those who choose to concoct their own form of religion and trust in them instead of Jesus. But the truth is that God did use angels in a mighty way to reveal Christ's birth. An angel appeared to Mary, Joseph, the wise men, and God chose to send a host of angels to announce the birth to the shepherds that glorious night.
In Angel Alert!, the entire children's choir is made up of angels! In fact, they are all waiting to be told when they get to go to earth and make the grand announcement. As they wait for the call they review God's faithfulness through His promises and some of the prophecies about our Savior's birth. Of course there is worship and plenty of celebration, since the angels understand the love God has for His people in sending His Son to earth.
"Angel" means "messenger." My prayer is that God would use our children to be His messengers this year. May the story of God's love for us be so evident as our "angels" sing about Jesus, our Savior. And may Jesus be glorified for all He has done for us!
Love in Christ Jesus,
